Beach Club Resort Staycation!
Hello ya'll!
So during the second part of my Disney College Program, some of my friends bought a room at the Beach Club Resort. It was fantastic!! We stayed on concierge level so that we would have access to the lounge. The lounge has food out all day, so we didn't have to pay for meals really! The Beach Club Resort also has the BEST pool on property, called Stormalong Bay. There is a small lazy river, a pirate ship waterslide, a whirlpool, and its all sand bottom! Trust me... there's nothing like wiggling your toes in sand while you're swimming in a pool.
When we got there, we checked in but the room wasn't ready yet. We hung out by the pool, ate in the lounge, and relaxed until we could go to our room. We were escorted up to the concierge level to check in with a special concierge there. It was so exciting! When we finally got into our room, we walked in to balloons and stuffed animals! we were so confused... We went to the concierge and asked him if something had gone wrong, but they were meant fro us! I was so confused, but then I remembered a friend of mine worked there. We had done plays together in my home town. In fact, she played my mom when I did the children's play Pinkalicious. She had chased her dream and moved to Disney World to work as a front desk cast member at The Beach Club Resort. Now, here she was, making magic for me. I knew it. I found someone that knew her, and arranged to see her. She refused to admit it was her, she insisted that Mickey himself had dropped them off (But we all know the big mouse was performing in the parks at that time...duh). She was our very own Fairy Godmother!
So here is my video from our adventure. We had a blast relaxing around the pool. Plus, nothing beats being able to walk directly in to Epcot. Enjoy!
